I’m honored to seek election to the Brookfield Board of Education, where I’ve served for the past 14 months with dedication, transparency, and a deep commitment to our students, families, teachers, staff, and stakeholders. As a Brookfield resident for 17 years and a proud parent, I understand the vital role our schools play in shaping the future of our community and I’m passionate about ensuring every child has access to a safe, inclusive, and high quality education.
During my tenure, I’ve worked to strengthen our schools through thoughtful policy, responsible budgeting, and collaborative leadership. I currently serve on the Policy and Finance Subcommittees, helping guide the district’s strategic priorities and fiscal planning. I also represent the Board on the Municipal Building Committee, where I actively participate in discussions to ensure Candlewood Lake Elementary School is complete, safe, and in top shape for the Board of Education to assume full control upon total completion. Additionally, I serve as a Board representative and parent on the Special Education Strategic Plan Committee, championing equity and excellence for all learners.
I’m deeply committed to fostering academic excellence and growth for every student. That means supporting rigorous curriculum, innovative teaching practices, and programs that meet the diverse needs of our learners from early childhood through graduation. I will continue to champion more direct support and targeted intervention to address achievement gaps, and advocate for adequate programming that serves students of all abilities. Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and our schools must be equipped to meet them where they are.
As our district is under leadership transitions, I’m committed to providing steady support and thoughtful guidance. One of our most critical responsibilities ahead is finding and hiring a superintendent who will lead with vision, integrity, and a deep understanding of Brookfield’s values. We need a leader who is accountable, visibly engaged in our schools and community, and who leads by example empowering and supporting staff and students alike.
Professionally, I hold a degree in Business Management and have a background in office operations and healthcare. These experiences have equipped me with strong organizational, administrative, and leadership skills, while also shaping my values of compassion, service, and advocacy. I bring a pragmatic, service oriented approach to decision making grounded in efficiency, empathy, and real-world insight.
Above all, I believe in listening to parents, teachers, staff, students, and community members. Every voice matters, and I strive to ensure that decisions reflect the values and needs of the entire Brookfield community.
While I’m proud of the progress we’ve made in the past 14 months, I know there’s still hard work ahead. From addressing evolving student needs to ensuring our facilities and programs keep pace with growth, I’m ready to continue the work with purpose and resolve.
